UNLOCK LIFE

WE SET OUT TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON, YOU CAN UNLOCK MORE THAN A WAY TO GET FROM A TO B. YOU CAN UNLOCK MORE TIME FOR WHAT MATTERS. YOU CAN UNLOCK A NEW SIDE OF YOUR CITY. YOU CAN UNLOCK WONDER. JOY. AND CONNECTION. THAT SAME BUTTON CAN ALSO UNLOCK MORE OF OUR CITY FOR OUR DISADVANTAGED NEIGHBORS. AND HELP THEM UNLOCK NEW OPPORTUNITIES ALONG THE WAY. YOU’RE UNLOCKING SOMETHING WITH THE POWER TO OPEN UP YOUR WORLD IN BEAUTIFUL, EXCITING, NEW WAYS.

CARLOS

Cities all over the world still sit along racial and socioeconomic lines, dividing communities and locking out entire groups of people, people without cars, without access. People like Carlos Lopez.

Despite living in Inglewood, California his entire life, Carlos had never even been to the beach. Then he discovered Lime scooters and unlocked a sense of mobility and access he had never known. He’s been riding every day since, exploring new parts of the city with his fellow Lime riders – a new kind of gang – hitting the streets with their newfound freedom.

For the millions of Americans working multiple jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, family time is a luxury. Mothers and fathers all over the world sacrifice connections with loved ones in order to provide for them. It’s a vicious, relentless cycle perpetuated by socioeconomic inequities.

For Shenita Covington, a medical researcher based in Raleigh, NC, juicing Lime scooters not only gives her extra income, but one-on-one time with her daughter as they hunt scooters all over the city together. But her experience extends beyond family bonding – being out at night has revealed a new side of the city, exposing Shenita to Raleigh’s growing homeless population, inspiring her to give back to her community.

The city of Paris is like jazz music – it has a rhythm, it’s responsive and spontaneous. Musicians like Tanguy Jouanjan, a celebrated trumpet player based in the city, rely on the pulse of Paris for inspiration. As he moves between jam sessions, recording sessions, and late-night gigs, Tanguy finds moments in between to jot down insights and ideas on paper. His experience riding scooters has opened up the city, giving him a new perspective and an endless source of inspiration. His creativity is fueled by the motion, surprise, and frenetic pace of the landscape around him.
